Overview
Melt flow rate testing machine: a specialized equipment for measuring the melt flow rate of thermoplastic under certain conditions, and can indirectly determine the molecular weight of high polymers. The melt flow rate (melt index) of thermoplastic refers to the mass or volume of molten plastic passing through a standard specimen outlet every 10 minutes at a certain temperature and load, expressed as MFR (MI) or MVR value, which can distinguish the viscous flow characteristics of thermoplastic in the molten state. Suitable for testing engineering plastics such as polycarbonate, polyarylsulfone, fluoroplastics, nylon, etc. with high melting temperatures, as well as for testing plastics such as polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), ABS resin, polyoxymethylene (POM), polycarbonate (PC) resin, etc. with low melting temperatures. It is of great significance for ensuring the quality of raw materials and products of thermoplastic plastics and chemical fibers.
Application field
Widely used in factories, product quality inspection institutes, research institutions and other units for the production, inspection, development, research and other fields of plastics.
